2023 Western Australia Guangdong Association Annual Summary

Outlook
1. We plan to set up additional liaison offices in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and have reached preliminary cooperation intentions with the heads of cities such as Hong Kong, Macao, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhongshan, Foshan, Zhaoqing, and Shanwei. The aim is to establish a closer collaborative network and promote information sharing and exchanges within the region.
2. In June, the Guangdong General Chamber of Commerce in Western Australia will prepare for its 10th anniversary celebration, with an estimated attendance of 800 to 1,000 people. It will invite representatives from the Australian Commonwealth, Western Australia, Perth City Government and local business community, the Chinese Embassy in Australia, the Consulate General in Perth, the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Guangdong Province and the Overseas Chinese Affairs Departments of all prefecture-level cities.
3. Organize young entrepreneurs to return to Guangdong for in-depth visits, covering all levels of overseas Chinese affairs departments and enterprises. The purpose is to promote international business cooperation and cultural exchanges. Through this visit, we are committed to building a closer bridge for overseas Chinese affairs cooperation, deepening corporate exchanges, and jointly promoting our association’s influence on the international business stage.
4. Actively establish connections with universities in Western Australia and are committed to assisting students in solving problems related to entrepreneurship and employment. We seek to build a close bridge of cooperation, aiming to provide the younger generation with broader entrepreneurial opportunities and career support, and jointly promote innovation and development.
5. Visit government departments at all levels in Western Australia and actively assist corporate members to gain a deeper understanding of the business environment and investment policies in various regions. The aim is to provide comprehensive support and guidance to companies and help them conduct business activities more smoothly and successfully in the region.
6. Expand the Chamber’s membership base and achieve the ambitious goal of 20% annual growth. At the same time, comprehensively enhance the Chamber’s visibility in Australia and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, as well as its exposure on the international stage. This effort aims to deepen the Chamber’s international influence and build a broader exchange platform.
7. A Legal Advisory Committee is established to fully support the legal needs of member companies. The committee will assist in legal education and publicity, provide professional legal consulting services, and actively participate in coordinating and resolving cases involving overseas Chinese. Through this mechanism, we are committed to providing all-round legal support to overseas Chinese and ensuring that they can receive reliable guidance and help in legal affairs.
8. Organize exchange activities between the members of the Western Australia Guangdong Chamber of Commerce and local business associations to promote business cooperation and cultural exchanges between the two sides. Through this activity, we will build a closer business relationship, promote mutual benefit and win-win between Western Australia and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area enterprises, and jointly open a new chapter in business development.
9. To better serve our members, we will take a series of measures to strengthen the staffing arrangements of the Secretariat and improve member services, thereby increasing member satisfaction. These measures include:

10. Organize 2-3 charity events to give back to the society and increase the sense of identity and social responsibility of overseas Chinese. Make these charity events more targeted and in-depth in the community, practice social responsibility with practical actions, and establish a more positive image for overseas Chinese.

In the new year, the Western Australia Guangdong Chamber of Commerce will strive to maintain close contact with various business associations, continue to promote close cooperation among members, continuously expand business opportunities, and grow together.
At the same time, we will actively organize more social responsibility activities, devote ourselves to charity, and give more love to the Western Australian community. Through these practical actions, we will further enhance the image of Chinese businessmen in Western Australia and contribute our strength to the prosperity and development of the community.
